Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how TranscriptED ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal data when you use our platform.
Data we collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, organisation details, and any audio recordings or documents you upload to the platform. We also collect usage data such as login times, feature usage, and browser information to improve our service.
How we use your data
Your data is used to provide and improve the TranscriptED service: processing audio recordings, generating transcripts and summaries, managing your account, and communicating with you about your subscription. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Data storage
All transcript and meeting data is stored in the United Kingdom. Audio files are processed within the European Union and are deleted from processing servers once transcription is complete. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
Third-party sharing
We share data only with the subprocessors necessary to deliver our service (see our Security page for details). We do not share, sell, or otherwise distribute your personal data to any other third parties unless required by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing activities. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@transcripted.co.uk.
